About Us

Tweed River Boat Hire was established 1954, and current host Peter has owned the business since 2004.

Peter was an electrical contractor from the Sydney suburb of Caringbah and has been involved in some sort of boats most of his life, from small single hull yachts, catamarans and off shore fishing boats.

And (of course) his knowledge of local points of interest and known fishing spots, means you will have the best time on the scenic and exciting Tweed River.

In 2008 Peter met Debra, who then spent most weekends travelling from Brisbane to Tweed Heads to help in the Business. Then finally in December 2012, Debra left her financial background to move down here permanently.

Together Peter and Debra aim to build the best business possible ensuring reliable maintained boats and amazing customer service.

We have the most amazing friendly labrador called Sonny so remember to give him a loving pat on the way in and another as you leave. We also have a cat called Bimby but is seldom seen during the day.
